Crew Commercial was established in February 2021. Our agency has grown from a five person industrial-centric real estate agency to a fully fledged market leader with a flat platform that enables specialists in every type of commercial property to succeed. The following provides a brief background on some important milestones for Crew Commercial.
Two Brisbane (Clint Bott & Corbin Crain) and three Gold Coast (Josh Wright, Dave Kertesz & Jacob Zhou) industrial agents gave notice to cease their employment at a large internationally owned real estate agency. We had realised the inherent obstacles of working for a conglomerate restricted the quality of the services that we could provide to our clients and we were adamant that there was a better way of running an agency business. We wanted to build a platform that supported our staff and enable outstanding agents to excel without restrictions. Many long term clients still make comment to us about the widely circulated Newscorp article that was entitled “Mass Exodus from Major Real Estate Agency”.
Crew Commercial was launched with offices in both Brisbane and Gold Coast. Our branding was carefully planned with our absolute commitment to teamwork proudly highlighted in our namesake. Our bold attitude was reflected with signboards highlighted with bright orange colouring with a steadfast blue background. We led the market with social media marketing that our competitors are still trying to replicate. Our long term clientele organically moved to our brand and we fought hard to win over new clients.
An experienced and highly regarded retail agent (Rhiannon Parsons) was identified and secured to expand our service offering.
Our first administration assistant (Jaclyn Edney) was employed. This trusted staff member was a pivotal team member who supported the workload of the founding members.
100 deals 100 coffees promotion was launched to celebrate reaching such a notable milestone. Our directors and staff networked with clients and the general public in our local market where we bought coffees to spread the name of our growing business.
Gold Coast office moved from a small room in Bundall which we had fitted out by laying carpet tiles purchased from a Gumtree ad (we were informed on pick up that they had been decommissioned from a Queensland Government medical facility, but we were too excited to be concerned). We leased a 162sqm office tenancy in Bay Street, Southport and negotiated a rent free period in exchange for conducting our own fit out (with new carpet tiles). Meanwhile, Brisbane office moved from a shared area provided by a client to Qualtrough Street, Woolloongabba opposite The Norman Hotel. We conducted our own office fit out converting an older space into our own modern collaborative office.
Crew Management was launched as a new business line. Rhiannon was recognised as an outstanding service provider with a unique skillset and her role was expanded to Head of Property Management. She was integrated as a shareholder in the new business to ensure longevity and ultimate commitment to our clients and staff.
Our second birthday was celebrated by hand delivering 50 birthday cakes to our top clients, customers and stakeholders across South East Queensland.
Personal assistant (Leila Thompson) was employed in succession across our two offices. We committed to training our brokers and administration staff from scratch to ensure our systems and methodology provided the highest possible level of service. Our tagline “Strongly Connected” was launched to communicate our genuine and binding relationships both internally and with our clients, customers and stakeholders.
Crew Commercial sold one of the highest valued industrial land parcels on the Gold Coast for a record $32,000,000 via a six week national campaign. This demonstrated that our knowledge, connections and systems exceeded that of our competitors.
Crew Commercial announced as Finalist for Commercial Agency of The Year at the AREA Awards, a national presentation by industry leading REA Group. To be recognised as the top commercial agency in Australia in just our first year of operating was a very notable achievement.
New property management assistant (Luz Agudelo) was hired and trained from scratch.
Partnership announced with LIVIN whereby we committed to donating funds to this local charity for every transaction we negotiate.
Over 100 tenancies actively managed by Crew Management.
Our directors secured the entire multi-tenanted freehold property in Southport that we had initially leased a portion of.
An experienced and highly personable agent (Andy Chan) was highlighted and secured from a competing agency to drive our commercial office sales and leasing division. In addition, an upcoming agent (Ben Harrison) was secured from a competing agency in our Brisbane office.
Over 500 property transactions completed by Crew Commercial.

Demolition and refurbishment of multiple tenancies on the first floor of our Southport office commenced to create a 360sqm single floor plate in preparation for future business growth.
Another experienced commercial property manager (Renee Tassone) was hired from a competing agency to boost our burgeoning commercial property management business. Another personal assistant (Cassidy Maiden-Lee) was employed. These hires enabled our internal systems to be streamlined and increased capacity for future business growth.
Our Southport operations relocated into the new first floor office which encouraged collaboration via an open plan design, in-room auction centre, and coffee bar. RealCommercial.com.au statistics showed Crew Commercial as averaging No. 1 and 2 agency for sales and leasing across every suburb that we serviced in the last 12 months.
